“Federal Procurement; the Year in Review”
Please join us … Federal Procurement; The Year in Review will cover the new developments in federal contracting separated into the general topics of new statutes, new regulations, and new cases covering the procurement process from pre-award (e.g. protests, evaluations) to post award matters (e.g. modifications, default terminations, claims). Attendance certifications with 1.5 hours of training credit will be provided.
Location, Parking: We will be meeting at Gordon Biersch Restaurant in the Pilsner Room. Gordon Biersch is located on Level 4 of Pacific Place in downtown Seattle. The address is: 600 Pine Street, Seattle, WA. (Across the street from Nordstrom and Old Navy.) Parking is available on the street or in the building for $3.00 all evening after 5:00 PM.

Speaker’s Profile
Mr. James F. Nagle
A nationally known expert in government contracts and construction law, James F. Nagle received his Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service; his J.D. from Rutgers; and his LL.M. and S.J.D. in government contracts from the National Law Center, George Washington University. He is one of only an estimated three people who have ever received this distinction. Mr. Nagle is the current NCMA Chapter President of West Sound and the newly elected NCMA Regional Director; NW Region. Mr. Nagle has written five books on federal contracting, "Federal Procurement Regulations: Policy, Practice and Procedures," (American Bar Association Press [ABA], 1987); "How to Review a Federal Contract and Research Federal Contract Law, Second Edition," (ABA Press, 2000); "Federal Construction Contracting," (Wiley Law Publications, 1992); "The History of Government Contracting, Second Edition," written under a grant from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), (George Washington University Press, 1999), and Whelan and Nagle, Cases and Materials on Federal Government Contracts, the leading law school textbook on the subject, published by Foundation Press. He has also co-authored and co-edited “Washington Building Contracts and Construction Law,” (Butterworth (now Aspen) Publishers, 1994). Besides being a contributing author to six other books, his over 75 articles, on subjects as diverse as protests, changes, terminations, claims, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation, have appeared in such publications as the "Public Contract Law Journal," "Military Law Review," "NCMA Journal," and "Contract Management."
