Contracts and Export Compliance Manager

We currently offer a key leadership opportunity for a Contracts and Export Compliance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the General Counsel & Director of Business Affairs. Responsible for coordinating customer contract requirements and providing leadership in the negotiation and account management of large complex contracts. Directs the activities of a dedicated team of Contract Administrators.

Ensures compliance with Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsible for assessing and communicating the requirements of Export Control laws. Acts as a point of contact for Export Control issues. Maintain the Export Compliance Program and provide training and guidance as required to internal organizations.

Takes an active leadership role in company initiatives for continuous improvement in business processes and MRP system enhancements. Supporting current and future projects e.g. Lean and World class best practices.

Lean Requirements

  • Establish best practices to eliminate non-value added/non-essential activities and develop work standards for contract administration
  • Meet lean goals/metrics for the contracts department
  • Involved in company wide Lean continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implement Lean improvement ideas
  • Use Value Stream Mapping and Lean tools

REQUIREMENTS
Requires a 4-year degree in addition to 4+ years direct experience in aerospace/ defense Contracts Administrative Management. Previous supervisory experience of 5+ years is required. Must be able to travel up to 25%.
